Excellent find hesham! The name still puzzles me.

I still have no clue what merah actually means. It isn't the name of a Greek letter.

Mμ is me in Italian ... so its not that. Much more obscure was Ϻ ϻ but the Greek name for that letter was San (because it was pronounced more like an 's') ... so not that one either ;p

Teta also comes up. Some sources claim that the modern Italian version of Θ θ to be Theta. I suspect the latter to be in error (unless modern Italian uses both variations?).
 
According to Google Translate, 'Merah' means 'Red', in Indonesian . . .

I noted that too Robin. Merah is also a name - female in Hebrew, male in Arabic. Still can't a place for any of that within CNA's Greek letter naming practice though ;p

Well no, there doesn't seem to be any connection with greek letters whatsoever, but I was thinking 'Red' as in Schneider Racers, racing cars, etc. Maybe this design was part of a separate sequence, or designed and built as a commission, and the customer chose the name . . .

Dear Hesham, this aircraft designed by Mario Pittoni, is the Breda 89, as you can see in the drawing. As you are aware, Pittoni joined Breda in the late thirties. This aircraft very likely is one of his first works at Breda, but seemingly it remained at project stage only.

also that,because I know this designer worked for Breda.
