Italian Little Known Light Aircraft

Hi,


here is a three little known light aircraft from Italy,the first called
Bottini M.B.2,the second aircraft from Mr. Crisanti and the third
was Fongri - De Grignani,does anyone one know more,but must
be a little known ?.

from Italian Aeronautical 1922,here is a Magni project of 1919 from a patent.

I've seen your request today
Piero Magni was wounded during WW1 and after the war he designed various aircraft.
The patent is for a monoplane with the wings sustained and anchored only with one stub for half-wing and with an aerodynamical cover (later NACA) that was intended to cool the engine through the airflow. The supporting struts also worked as an airbrake.
A reduced scale model of the monoplane was put on show during the 1919 Salon in Paris (the one in your photo) and it was built in 1923 by the Magni Aeronautical Construction lab in Meda, after being tested as a model in the Eiffel Labs and later on in the testing facilities in Turin (this latter airtunnel and laboratory is still there at the politechnic institute)
I have found another photo, just let me scan it and I will publish it.
By the way, do you have a better scan of the 3-view of this aircraft? (a plan scan, not the deformed one and possibly with a better resolution )

Paraphrasing, a 1912 study for a blended wing/body/float of semi-monocoque structure. The covering of the wings, fuselage, and float consisted of thin layers of wood separated by fabric and riveted together.* The framework of the wings were metal.

Work began on the fuselage, but then the order was given to suspend work.

It's not completely clear to me who was responsible for this concept (perhaps an Italian-speaking forum member can help?). It may be that this semi-monocoque monoplane study was work performed under Commandante Ginocchio at the Arsenale di Venezia.

* Sounding very much like S.E. Saunders' 1898 patent for 'Compound Lumber' or Consuta construction - which had four plys of mahogany veneer interleaved with calico (canvas soaked in linseed oil). However, as the name suggests, Consuta was stitched together (with copper wire) rather than fastened with rivets. Perhaps the Italians were looking for a way around Sam Saunders' earlier patent?

The Cabinaire was NOT an italian Projects as you said. The airplane was a real US aircraft built by Paramount.

Yes, 'idrocorsa' looks like 'water course' but actually means racing seaplane. This is a model of a design by sig. Montuelli Alessandro of Castel Maggiore.

I can't ID the designer of this Italian monoplane,it was called C.F.1 ?.

The designer was Mr Emanuele Cambilargiu. (there is a typo in the French paper's transcription of his name)

The plane is the Cambilargiu-Folz CF-1. Amedeo Folz financed their venture "azienda Costruzioni Aeronautiche Italiane", which designed the CF-1 and CF-2.
