suspension units.

Hi! 1.42 early design? Early design had BLC jet flap?

"1:42 MiG MFI / MiG-39 ...

Engineers also considering the use of jet aileron. In the first case, the function should take the compressed air from the high pressure compressor motor and distribute along the wing trailing edge. An alternative variant was hot while collecting exhaust gas outlet chamber of the afterburner. Such a solution would entail a significant increase buoyancy produced (for example, usable during takeoff), effective maneuverability."

"As work progresses on the prototype slowly rozbiehala 1.44 and 1.42 in the production version of the standard design, but all work has stopped. Everything in fact went to the inevitable end, which many people have long been predicted - the Soviet Union fell apart. In terms of the MFI program at that time it was a considerable preparatory stage prototype and 1:44 also have been done two fuselage sections of the standard design 1:42 from the main landing gear legs jets after engine cover plus some parts of the wings."

A hypothetical designs, was that right my dear Flateric ?.

Hesham, I don't know what 'hypotetical design' means for you.
These are Air Force AFDL sponsored studies made by McDonnell Douglas at NASA Ames in 1969-1974 timeframe.

I hope this is the last time they pop-up in MiG MFI topic again (and we have own MiG MFI topic here, Blackie).

Thank you my dear Flateric,

I just want explanation,now I remember,and I think I have this report.

In my files,

the MiG Ye.8 was projected to carry TsD-30TP radar and K-13 missiles, remained a Project and maybe
called Ye.8-3

Also until remeber the source;

the MiG-15 had a version with remote-controlled,remained a Project only,maybe intended
for test ?.

Sorry hesham, I don't know anything about your 'MiG-15 with remote-controlled weapons system; but I do know of the MiG-17SN

also in my files, until remember the source,The MiG-19 had a Project for ship board fighter,
no more details are known ?.

Hi,

I don't know if that's Info was real or not, there was a developed version of MiG-21
with side intakes and lift engines as a VTOL Project ?.

Hesham, maybe you are thinking of Ye-7 aka изделие (izdeliye) 23-01.
Check out the site http://www.tailsthroughtime.com/2010/11/experimental-stol-variant-of-mig-23.html

No my dear Dan,

I know this aircraft very well,it's actually built by 1967,but what I meant; was a ground
attack Project from 1969/70 as I remember, and maybe its configuration was a mixed between
those designs ?.

Can't help but ponder, with its lift engines removed, and replaced by a rear cockpit and additional fuel, the MiG-23PD derivative might have made an interesting long-range interceptor.

That would make it - an Su-15, essentially.

Such idea was after it became clear that MiG-23PD an unsuccessful and deadlock branch of evolution MiG. But in OKB MiG have considered that such plane won't have any superiority. In fact before emergence of modification MiG-23MLD at MiG-23 according to characteristics of range, maneuverability and that the most ridiculous to runway characteristics was almost not superiority over the last modifications MiG-21. At least so about it it is written in the book about MiG-23.
It seems to me that from MiG-23PD without good engine and completion I covered on type as Chinese have made on J-7 the normal fighter wouldn't turn out. Are even more interesting as on me, theoretical options of crossing with a wing from the Analog144, but it is already obviously alternative story about the Soviet analog the Mirage III.

Best regards
Serge

I'm sorry but I have literaly no idea what you are saying. If you are saying the aircraft is no better than a late build Mig 21 I can see the point, almost.
