I think these numbers are the result of misinformation from the West.

It was MiG "18-50" not "Mig-18".Jnes 1991-1992 publishes it correctly formatted without a hyphen.

It doesn't fall in the main designation sequence.

of course they meant here,a MiG-19 Farmer,but the strange thing they called it TsAGI-418 ?.

After looking through the twitter feed, I am certainly sure now, that the original source is the Russian book "Миг: Полет сквозь время Том 2" (English: "MiG: Flight through time Volume 2").
