Glad to see some positive news related to the NH-90, considering all the doom and bashing it took in this thread and elsewhere.
Let's say its maintenance will never be a piece of cake, in fact it mostly depends from Airbus getting their heads out of their asses related to spares availability.
From there, depends from the operators harrassing (bullying ?) Airbus over the said spares to get themself a stock large enough - but at what cost ? that's another issue.
Corrosion seems to be a PITA, too.

The availability of the NH90 has improved significantly in recent times.

In 2025, 860 Squadron logged over 2,700 flight hours. This represents an increase of 15% compared to previous years.
It appears that the squadron is capable of sustaining this level over time.
At the same time, it remains a constant challenge for the unit to maintain a healthy balance between the high demand for maritime helicopter capability and the pressure on personnel.

Congratulations across the board on 500000 hours
The last milestone was 370,000 flight hours at the end of 2022. So that's ~40,000 flight hours per year for an average fleet (over the period) of ~450 NH90s in service... about 90 flight hours per year.

Hmmm... good to see the 500K milestone but perhaps a little early to claim maturity?
