Hi,

we know only for this Russian company; Rafaelyants or simply
RAF,that RAF-1 was ultra-light low-wing monoplane of 1925,
RAF-2 was two-seat cantilever low-wing monoplane of 1926
and the RAF-11 was twin-engined low-wing small tarnsport
aircraft of 1935,nobody knows the RAF-3 to RAF-10 ,and
if they were a projects or not.
the Company also built the Turbolyet O a VTOL design in
1957.

Re: Rafaelyants aircraft

At this time found no value data of RAF-3 on the RAF-10. It is known that he was the friendships involved a modification of aircraft Polikarpov R-5 and U-2 in the passenger variants. In the fullest possible it their indifitsiroval as RAF but the literature found no given sign.
Here's a sample list of works Rafaelyantsa:
- RAF in January 1925 a light aircraft;
- RAF-February 1926 a light aircraft;
- P-5 "limousine" modification of R-5 Polikarpov 1931 passazhisky option;
- Project "Letayushego tank" 1932 glider to carry a tank through the air;
- PR-5 modification of R-5 Polikarpov 1934 passazhisky option;
- PR-12 modification of R-5 Polikarpov 1938 passazhisky option;
- RAF-11 passenger plane in 1939
- U-2 modification of the U-2, Polikarpov in 1941 for transportation of aviation fuel;
- U-2L "limousine" modification Polikarpov U-2 in 1943 passazhisky option;
- Project U-2 modification of the U-2 (Po-2) Polikarpov 1957 passazhisky option for 7 passengers;
- Turbolet experimental apparatus for vertical take-off 1957.

I would be grateful if you submit your photo or 3 schemes of RAF-2.

Thank you very much for this whole set of information new to me.
Very interesting and much appreciated.

Oh my God,amazing work my dear Ucon,many great thanks.

Nice to have you back! I always have appreciated and valued what you bring.

Is it confirmed that the MTS photo is of a full sized aircraft and the Burnelli inspired design flew in Russia? I also wonder how accurate the drawing is: The drawing looks like a different variation and is almost a perfect copy of some Burnelli designs.

Thank you very much, Avimimus, for kind words!
MTS never flew - it was only a project. Mind also - there were two variants: with M-34 engines and GR Jupiter.
See in attch. two more pix with M-34.

Best regards
