Very interesting! Could the "A-" prefix in these designs indicate Alekseyev?

Projects owned Central Design Bureau for the vessel on hydrofoil behalf of R.E.Alekseyev.

Oh, this Google translator... It's very interesting to imagine a court on hydrofoil! In Russian, "суд" is court and "судно" is vessel; but the dative plural form is identical - "судам".

Don't read Russian fluently, but the title translates as "The Magicians from TsAGI" so I think these ekranoplane designs are from TsAGI.

Here's my try: The article mentions project KP (model ship) from 1962,then Caspian sea monster, Orlyonok (which looked similar to KP) and Lun. After that goes the part about Aerocon and it's proposed 5000t design. Next segment mentions Beriev R-1, Be-8, Be-10, Be-12 and Beriev A-40 Albatros. The A-200 project is probably Beriev Be-200 Altair.
The last picture gives the info about the photographs in the article. The man with the models should be academic G.V. Longvinovitch. They tested Lun and the model in that 200m long water tunnel is named KIP-L2V but i could have read that wrong.

Yeah. "A-200" was indeed the working designation for what became the Be-200.

Cutaway Antonov An-2 Ekranoplane, signature design Antonov for aircraft flying with ground effect or WIG "Wing in Ground" for its acronym in English, it was presented at a Russian Air Show, for which modified an old An-2 biplane removing his plans and installing a big, thick delta wing inverted end in small sheds inclined at 40 degrees where the ailerons were installed, their train was classic tricycle tailwheel, but was also designed a version with floats than there profiles on the web, based on the pictures and taking as starting a schematic cut unidentified author existing web small format change which I expanded to recreate this WIG version thereof is noteworthy that many aspects are speculative in the absence of reliable data on it. Modified by Motocar, Shared Forum:

P.D. Sorry for my poor English

hesham, "OOO" and "OAO" are simply Russian acronyms indicating a company's status, much like "LLC", "Ltd." or "Inc." in Western usage.

Thank you Skyblazer,

and is there any indicator to the name of the company ?.

The photograph and text says the model was on the stand of NPO (Научно-производственное объединение) АэроТехнологии, meaning Scientific and Production Establishment Aerotechnology. Seems that (I do not speak Russian, i just see similar words and similar alphabet) this company was created in 2012 out of former Sokol plant in Nizhny Novgorod. They are the makers of Volga 2 ekranoplan.

Has anyone been following this:
http://sky-and-sea.net/

They seem to have small scale production with seven prototypes (the most recent Burevestnik-24 claimed as being ready for mass production).

But their larger designs remind me a bit too much of Colani... Anyone have an idea about what is going on with the wingtips of the HSA-600?

Hi,

who can ID this WIG aircraft (upper) ?.
