Based on the agreement of the design groups from October 1948, the design groups began to use new designations before the end of 1948. Design group LT1 was renamed LA, LT2 to LB, LT3 to LC, LT4 to LD and LT5 to LE. The Otrokovice design group under the leadership of Ladislav Marcol was also incorporated into LET – Letecké závody n.p. and was later renamed LG. The Choceň design group essentially merged with the LD group. Furthermore, the design group led by Vladimír Štros separated from the LA group and continued to work on the development of gliders under the designation LF.
