Nothing in this book ?.
Sorry, no. And neither in "Aeroplani Caproni". vol. 1 and 2, by Rosario Abate, too.
And only mentions, without any graphics in Barbero "100 Aeroprani Caproni" ....

Hi,

sorry...
the Ca.81 was a recce aircraft project 192?.

Origin the Ca.87 was a bomber, later need for a transatlantic flight.

Hello, is there more information about this? Other sources suggest that the Ca.87 Polonia was rebuilt from a Ca.73ter for Poland, but it sounds plausible that it was built as a four-engine bomber first.

Browsing through the Caproni documents currently on auction at Mallams, I realize that the whole Ca.312/Ca.312 bis thing is not as clearcut as it seemed. Indeed, there were both a landplane AND a seaplane for each version. Also, there are two images of the supposedly unbuilt Ca.312 I.S., but I'll admit they could be just retouched photos of existing variants.

Removed a bit of an argument between hesham and Stargazer over duplicate posts.

This is the Caprioni designation topic, you can add new / confirmed designations here. Link to the source be it a forum topic or something else.

Here is the Ca.220, a twin engine transport monoplane. There is a table for a troop transport version but the drawings are all of a different version:
- Ca.220 troop transport powered by 2 I.F. Zeta 1200 CV
- Ca.220 "Militare" version powered by 2 Doppio Delta 1500 CV, and with bombs

Date is 1940

Thanks for that, @!Mark ... and good find.

The Ca.220 was a beautiful design. Unusual, though, that the troop transport was more powerful than the bomber variant!

I would also like to hear more about the Isotta-Fraschini Doppio Delta engines powering the bomber variant. From the cowling shape, it was obviously an X-24 type engine but I see no openings for air cooling on the drawings.
