I believe there was a Mk 13 armed Invincible discussed although this may have been for the Shah of Iran’s program and not the RAN
Given that the Iranian interest was at a very early stage, I suspect that all sorts of things were discussed before landing on 'well this is a silly idea, let's revisit it in a couple of decades.'

Another depiction of early angled flight deck configuration from Kehoe's article in Naval Engineers Journal (US).

Curiously, the same article contains a photo of the completed ship with a ski-jump, so this plan was already outdated.

I doubt that the new Friedman book on British aircraft carriers will add much to what we know about the three Invincibles.

If anyone has the December 1970 copy of AIR PICTORIAL it has the first photo of a model of the the new ship. I have only ever seen it in this magazine as it is made out of white cardboard! Have tried to find it in my cuttings stash.

It would be good to have a sequence of drawings showing the evolution of Invincible.
