@GTX For someone who's so quick to jump to conclusions from scraps of evidence whenever it suits their preferred narrative, you sure are awfully fond of dissecting every sentence I write and demanding absolute proof for anything that doesn't fit it (while conveniently twisting what I actually said in the process).
Yah, from memory
@Alfa_Particle was the one who reported it first, and he's generally had a pretty solid track record as a realistic kind of guy whose intentions are hardly something to be doubted. He also happens to back up his claim with official tender notices, which you persistently ignore while providing absolutely no evidence of your own in return...
That doesn't mean the "whole F135" part is necessarily true (IIRC that specific claim came from some members of the rumor mill whose names I can't remember -- hence why I'm also hesitant) ...although smuggling whatever components they can get their hands on, piece by piece, is hardly unexpected -- and at this point it's almost a fact that incidents like this have happened and will continue to happen. You don't believe a single F-35 part has ever ended up in China? Great, prove us wrong!
Alas, I was hesitant to write this post in the first place and drag this exchange out any further, but the replies I've already given you pretty much answer your persistent objections. So let's agree to disagree and move on...
@xena , tell me you're new to PLA-/aviation-watching without telling me you're new to PLA-/aviation-watching...
There has been a steady stream of indications for years now -- tenders, patents, research papers and reasonably credible insider rumors...
It's not our fault that you're oblivious to all of that, but you are at fault for jumping straight to the last post of the thread and blasting your ignorance instead of bothering to read the preceding chapters...
What you
@GTX and
@xena seem so insistently stuck on is this one F-35 scoop and
@xena's ignorance, while we're trying to move on because the likelihood of at least certain F-35 parts ending up in China for intel analysis, as well as the likelihood of a stealth STOVL jet being developed by SAC, has become quite high based on the multiple indicators and pieces of evidence we've seen -- yet you're still objecting without providing any evidence for your position...
