Big surprise,

anther mystery project to me,and I think most of the members don't know it,
it was Biesnovat 6 ;an unmanned supersonic aircraft which fitted with U-400-10
engine,it was under construction in 1946.

Hi,

Passengers squeezed in between to fans... Strange layout, would have been very noisy to be there in the middle.

Gordon's books are fine sources so long as you are sceptical about his actual opinions. He's very patriotic and toes the OKB line.

Hi,

there is anther two Ekranoplanes to MAI,The EPA-01 which
developed from Bartini M-62 in 1978,and its development

Hesham,

is that ekranoplan in the second pic diving into the water or it's my imagination?. The background is painted dark blue and I think I'm seeing bubble strings generating from the vehicle

Please can you add more details about this particular project

My dear Pometablava,

Please recieve my special message.

That designed I have no information about him,the A.G.Klimyenko

The SibNIA report of the parent company "TyumenEcoTrans"
http://www.tumenecotrans.ru/press8e.html

"Aircraft Designed by the TumenEcotrans Open Joint-Stock Company

This is a report on the technical proposal to develop a light off-airfield operational aircraft with a 2000 kg all-up weight and a five to six passenger capacity. The earlier TumenEcotrans OJSC concept of a superheavy aerostatic transport aircraft with an aerodynamic unloading capability has not been studied. ..."

Another lift-fan concept can be found on this page:

Found this (new?) picture of a wind-tunnel model that paralay calls S-52/57:

http://paralay.com/lfssu.html

The model in question is found at MAI (Moscow Aviation Institute) and is most likely a student study.

We discussed the pictures in post no. 84, but I cant find this thread yet.

Yes, it's so close and yet so far, lol! It seems we can rule out a chin mounted intake though, so the very last of the artist's impressions on paralay's site would seem to be the closest sofar.

Overscan,

Some of these student projects/study are very innovative and interesting especially the VTOL studies. I have tried the MAI website but they are not there, is there anywhere else where they can be accessed?

That student design study looks like the Rockwell ATF design study by Daniel Raymer combined with the variable incidence wing from the McDonnell Douglas AFTI design.

This is not misprint, today I saw this into Jane's All The World's Aircraft 1998-1999 or 1999-2000.
