Here's a fascinating early MiG-AT design, which has great resemblance in planform to the "33" light fighter design.

From L+K 1996/8,

it was called MiG 821-33.

• Preliminary project of Sukhoi Design Bureau (S-54)

Amazing how similar the Myasishchev and Yak designs are.

And IMO it's a shame that the Sukhoi wasn't chosen.
