Who has any materials information concerning Soltyk experimental/projects.
From his LWD period: Szpak, Junak, , Zak, Zuch, Mis and Zuraw and later with the TS prefix:
TS-7 Chwat, TS-15 Fregata, TS-17 Pelikan, TS-16 Grot and also other not mentioned experimental/projects.
If you have any information concerning production Soltyk aero planes from his LWD and TS- period is this also welcome.

Some of these projects are described in the Andrzej Morgała's book "Polskie samoloty wojskowe 1945-1980" (Polish Military Aircraft) published by MON in 1981.

Thanks Speedy,
But I think its difficult to get this book, 1981.
Do you have it and if so, can you help me with copies?

Yes of course, but it is a lot of scanning. Please wait some days, I try to do it in the next weekend or after 20th July.
http://www.powiat.mielec.pl/poser/samoloty/lwd/lwdmis.htm here you can find some information about LWD Miś and some other planes from your list (in Polish).

Hi Speedy
I found several pages in Polish with information about these planes, but I am missing drawings.
So I am very pleased if you scan these pages. Take your time.

Interesting, if the name Junak has the same meaning in Polish and in Serbocroatian, it can be translated as brave man or Hero.

Hi,
There is a recent book about Soltyk and his planes, titled Łódzkie samoloty inżyniera Sołtyka, by Edward Kocent-Zieliński, ZP, 2010, ISBN 8361529853. But I've not seen it, and cannot describe its contents.

Polish modelling magazine Aeroplan dated 1999-5 had an article about the LWD Zuch variants.

Attached are photos of the Zuch 1 and Zuch 2 prototypes along with details of the two models (in Polish).

Is there a reason for the same post in three different threads? It seems a bit weird.

Maybe a temporary loss of control of the fingers, which are clicking the mouse
und forgetting point 9 of the forum rules ...

Business aircraft Project. Poland,

In the mid-1960s, prof. MSc. Tadeusz Sołtyk, after the work on the
TS-16 "Grot" plane had been discontinued, at the Institute of Aviation developed proposals for new varieties of "Iskra": a four-seat disposable variant and a training and training variant of the TS "Iskra 2".

Hi,

I don't understand,why they began the series with number 7 (TS-7),and what about TS-1 to TS-6 ?.

A small note on Soltyk. When the authorities thrashed the TS-16 and TS-17 projects in the 1960s, he was forced to change employment, and was eventually hired by PIAP, where he designed control systems. In 1975, he received professorship at PIAP.

PIAP still exists, but it seems that they forgot about Soltyk (https://piap.lukasiewicz.gov.pl/?s=Sołtyk&lang=pl). How typical...
