NASA seems to be working quietly to bring the last SR-71 Blackbird ever built out of retirement and back into flight status… and if recent reporting from The Warzone proves true, it may be getting new engines that make it even faster.

If the rumours of 844 being refurbished, reactivated and recommissioned are true I wonder what jet-engine design would replace its' two J58s? If this does happed I suppose it would have a new tri-services designation SR-71D (Or maybe YSR-71D or NSR-71D).
