About 2 weeks ago, I found a thread with this name in the "Space Secret Projects" section. It contained an article from the Flight PDF archive.
Now this thread has vanished... :( Anybody got a clue why? If possible, please post it again!

many thanks

Coach

Do you mean this one?

Sorry, not this one. It was a newly started thread with one entry only and IIRC the title “Lockheed Spaceplane from 1963". The reason why I was so astonished was that the picture from the Flight PDF archive showed a spacecraft nearly identical to the XOV (see attached pic) from the well known “Blackstar” AW&ST article
(here: http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/generic/story_generic.jsp?channel=awst&id=news/030606p1.xml )

The only difference was the one big rocket engine on the back instead of the 4 LASRE from the XOV

Coach, the post you referred to is here:

http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,722.msg33450.html#msg33450

it was merged with an existing topic. This happens if a moderator thinks the post fits into an existing topic of discussion.

Sorry again, it's not this one. I have been following both threads (before they have been merged) with great interest.

The analogy with the XOV was even greater than in the pic from 1968, mainly in the aft region, the shape of the stubby vertical. I also remember having seen a huge rocket bell exhaust, not only a rocket plume.

My question – to the moderator: Is it possible that a thread just disappears? Who can just delete it?

Can you try to draw it and post your drawings here? Author can delete his post, not sure of the whole thread.

re-found it!

Hmmm...what's the damn difference between vehicle on picture in my reply to your initial request and this one? It's the same FDL-5 configuration. White colour?

Granted, the difference is not a big one. I meant the smaller engine exhaust above the main engine.

I have read of solid rocket booster cartridges also for the XOV space vehicle!

btw Flateric: should we not transfer this topic into Space Secret Project?
