From TU magazine, what was this ?, just idea or transferred into a concept !
At the beginning of 1938, Louis Bréguet announced the calculated characteristics of a transatlantic
seaplane capable of traveling 7,500 km in zero wind, with a specific consumption of 230 g per hp/
hour: PT 28,000 kg (engines 4,060 kg, glider 9,160 kg, fuel 11,200 kg, fixed load 1,700 kg, payload
1,800 kg, i.e. 8 passengers with luggage plus 800 kg of station). The 4 engines develop 4,300 hp
at takeoff. The wing has a 38 m span for a surface area of 175 m2. Average speed over the
crossing: 275 km/h.
