Dear Snark,
I know this Yokosuka concept, and may it was called D5Y,but I am not sure about its designation, for
the Aichi dive-bomber Project was different.
Hi Hesham
Sorry I wasn't more help. I've learned a lot from your prolific postings. Thanks a lot! Harry

Hi Harry,
the aircraft which you referred to it had one 13mm gun,but the Aichi design had a two 20mm,mounted
in each wing.
I don't think so. The only "D4" aircraft was the Yokosuka D4Y Suisei (Judy).was there Aichi D4A ?.

No, some times D4A refers to the D4Y Suisei that was produced at Aichi, or sometimes it was referred to D4Y3(since D4Y3 was designed by Aichi)Hi,

Yes, but it was canceled early and received no designation.
Something said me that Aichi " Planet" was proposed as twin engine for be embarked on G-14 carrier
By the summer of 1944, all prototypes that were considered low priority were canceled, and the plan to prototype the Wakusei as a carrier-based aircraft was also canceled. While the Ryusei was a versatile aircraft that could serve as both a carrier-based attack aircraft and a carrier-based bomber, the Wakusei was considered to be a high-speed, long-range carrier-based bomber that specialized in preemptive attacks on enemy aircraft carriers and was originally conceived by the Air Technical Arsenal, and was something of a cross between the Ryusei and Suisei. The actual aircraft was never built, and no detailed records remain.
