.. and of course there were the vast numbers of Latécoere
flying boat projects, just have a look at Heshams list in "designation
systems". Just three examples, the Laté 120 from 1940, with four
HS 12Z engines in two tandem installations, the Laté 124 from 1942,
powered by four GR 14R and the Laté 132 from 1942, with four HS 36Y
and shaft driven pusher props.

For the drawings of the Latécoère types, I used Jean Cunys
book as a basis.

The posts about the Laté 300 - 302 and 520 - 523 were moved to the Aerospace section:
https://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,29680.0.html
Though built in very small numbers only, up to single examples of each type, posting them
in the projects section means overstretching point four of our forum rules ("Prototypes that didn't
enter series production may also be appropriate ...") a bit. Those flying boats actually were
used in service and not only for test flights.
To all of us : Sometimes it may be a bit difficult to decide, in which section to post, but some thoughts
should be spent for this task nevertheless. A type, that wasn't ordered and built after testing the
prototype probably is appropriate, a type like the Do X, which was widely used, though remaining a
one-off probably not. Please try to post with sound judgement !

OK

I can't read French. I have the material, but I am completely powerless. :'(

Are those giant flaps on the 124?
I am unsure this applies to the type 124 as well, but here goes: about the type 123, Jean Cuny states it was designed to have (nearly?) full-span combined flaps/ailerons ('volets/ailerons')

Hi! Latecoere 631 prototype picture.

This 3D model is not a prototype, but amazing model.
This model is mouse operated, rotates and can be expanded or reduced.

A well known aircraft and 11 examples were built,Latecoere 631,it is belonged to Aviation & Space Section.

The unfortunate Laté 631 with 6 engines had a short existence in a difficult post-war period, some flew little (01, 04 and 05) or never flew (09, 10 and 11 not completed for the latter), the disasters of 02 (2 victims), 03 (12), 06 (58), 07 (16) and 08 (16) got the better of their flight authorization...
Thanks for the beautiful artwork!

This very known picture shows the geodesic structure of the fuselage of the Laté 6. However it's not the same of the Wallis system applied on the different Vickers build after this Latécoère. That plane was not a success. To my knowledge, this construction principle has never been applied on the Latécoère flying boats.

Hello
Some pictures of Laté 631 variants :
Latécoère 637 .png Tableau des variantes Laté 631.png
Latécoère 180.png Latécoère 633 J.png
Latécoère 180: powered by 8 HS 24 Zs, it was to weigh 155 tons
- Latécoère 633 J: derived from the 631, it was equipped with 4 Arsenal 24 Hs and 2 RR Nenes
- Latécoère 637: also derived from the 631, 3 different engines were planned (P&W Double Wasp, Bristol Centaurus, or Wright Twin Cyclone)

I'm also adding a table summarizing the different variants of the 631
