These drawings were obtained from a book I ordered several years ago from Avia Press. Sorry, I can't identify specific sourse.
They were shown in a book on the T-4 Sotka, and only shpwed the over head view.Thw book was in Russian so I can't give any details.
I would like to know if these are testbeds and were they built. I'm sure they are not stealth aircraft.

Any ideas about what is it?

Thanks in advance,

That's not too far off from the US concept of launching a Minuteman from an XB-70.

Thanks a lot Borobik, is that object in the back of the T-4 a ballistic missile?

Hi Ucon and Flateric! I want to ask you a question again. Why T-4 did not challenge Mach 3 flight?
It is very strange for me. T-4's structure was titanium alloy.
Is there any serious technical problem?

For anyone interested in the Sukhoi T-4/T-4M/T-4MS there is a beautiful book in Russian by Ildar Bedretdinov on the subject. It goes into full details on the design evolution process and has numerous images of the built T-4 prototype and subsequent projects.

I have a rough English translation of it I can provide to anyone who bought it and can't read it :)

No - they are two separate charts, the T-4M evolution to final configuration and then the T-4MS evolution, with about 6 months between them.

T-4MS is on picture 3.png. T-4M on pictures 1.png and 2.png. On picture 1.png is missing 1968 IV. kb (on right side) and on picture 2.png is missing 1969 I. kb (on left side). Probably no new versions in this time were presented and therefore this period was not presented.
