Surprising, the known video from KnAAZ made during Feb this year.

When we discussed about so called radar blocker( anti-radar grid or radial-coaxial grid) inside of the air intakes several months ago, I must admit ,I was sceptical about it.First thoughts were about possible 'air flow mass issues' inside of the air intakes. Also must admit that I hoped the real grid is there 'cause it is obvious that Su-57's air intakes are not so curved as it is supposed to. Of course must admit that I was wrong ,the grids are there.Only question is , are those grids integrated from the beginning of the serial production?
Yeah, but every time we see videos of the su-57 making that Star Wars spaceship sound it was production aircraft and the Algerian models so one could think those aircraft had the blocker installed.

They've been in place since early stages of the development process. As soon as it became clear that for the desired weapons bay parameters the serpentine intakes were not viable. Subsequently they are also featured in the patents and at the very latest in the later prototypes.

And what we've seen on the video is just one layer, it's a multilayer design.

Exactly and what we could see on Dec 2020 video ( reportage on Pervaya TV HD about the 929 GLITs) was that coaxial-radial grid inside of the '511' ( I suppose) air intake.

''Radar electromagnetic wave reflection in the forward hemisphere occurs primarily from the inlet guide vane (IGV) elements and accounts for up to 60% of the aircraft's radar cross-section. The S-shaped air intake duct, combined with radar-absorbing coatings, reduces the radar cross-section in the axial directions of the forward hemisphere, while in other directions, it is reduced by shielding the IGV, for example, with a special coaxial-radial array, which can be installed in any duct shape but is primarily used in "straight" ducts.''

Who knows, maybe they really succeeded on what Alexander Davidenko said that forward RCS of the serial/operational Su-57 can be in the range 0.3-0.4 sqm for the irradiation in the centimetric radar bands.

The blueish grey looks brighter than on Russian models, maybe it's just the lighting though. Either way, congrats to Algeria. They now field the most capable combat aircraft in all of North Africa.

but does russia even have the M1 yet?

No, there is only Su-57 as serial/operational aircraft and they have two flying prototypes of the Su-57M ( 058 and 511 blue). Su-57E is the designation for the export variant.Designation Su-57S can be possible after official entering the service in VKS but for now it is Su-57 only.

That's all we can do EmoBirb is just wait and see until the official photos get released by Sukhoi themselves at one point.

Nice photo of the T-50-2LL.

Workshop 45 for 'rubber' products..

No 46 for the composites as 'ComradeVortex' mentioned.

''The fire could seriously impact Su-57 airframe production, as workshop No. 46 is critical for the manufacture of polymer composite parts.''

In Komsomolsk-on-Amur, a workshop at the Yu. A. Gagarin Aviation Plant (KnAAZ) caught fire. Presumably, workshop No. 46, specializing in auxiliary units, caught fire. The plant is the only serial manufacturer of Su-35S and Su-57 fighters.@ejdailyru

That place seems like a nightmare place to keep secure just by looking at the amount of abandoned buildings; roads and easy and close access to the plant location. Don’t the Russians have something like Area 51 anymore?

Is it just me, or are the impacts of the Bologna system really becoming more and more apparent on the SPF?

Many closed cities were opened and many military towns were closed following the collapse of the USSR.
