Pressurised Fuselage for DH.104 Dove

According to a letter in Flight (17 August 1972 issue) Riley Aeronautics looked at replacing the fuselage of the de Havilland Dove with one that could be pressurised, as part of their Riley Dove enhancement programme. The fuselages would have been made by Handley Page.

Does anyone have more information on this project? How does Handley Page get involved with an American aircraft customiser?

HP was out of business by that date so I guess it may have been a desperate attempt to stave off bankruptcy a few years before by selling Jestream fuselages? The wing spar through the floor thing would have to work with the Dove wing though. The Dove did have that too, under a seat.

Forgot that Riley also converted some Jetstreams to use PT6 engines too.

Apparently Jack Riley was a 'driving force' behind the development of the HP.137 Jetstream as well.
