Introduce Yourself

Hello, my name is Lionel.
I'm studying IT and have been interested in everything related to space exploration since I was a kid. So you may see me posting in those threads sometimes.
Also, I'm from Argentina, so I will likely comment if a thread pops up (especially if it's related to aviation, as that's what I'm interested the most). Actually, I was a lurker until I read the thread on alternative history for the Argentine Air Force and the Sea Harriers, so hopefully I'll have something to add there.

Anyways, I hope I have a long stay here. I've been reading this forum for quite a while and I already love it!

Welcome !
Great, I started the discussion about alternative Argentinian fighters versus the Sea Harrier and I'm super happy that an Argentinian can come along !!!

Hello comrades!

I go by my name Rafferty Trujillo or my username NinjaGamer_5, but you can just call me Ninja for short. :-D I am a 14 year old average gamer and a tank and aircraft nerd who has ADHD and talks to much . I currently live in Santee, California, USA.
I first stumbled upon this forum about 2 or 3 years ago, while I was looking at images of the Blohm und Voss Bv.170. To my less-matured brain, the forum looked like a website from the beginning of the internet. (sry if that was a bit harsh of a comment.) I didn’t take too much interest in it until I found it again on July 11 of 2023. I hope that you all enjoy my presence on this site, and are happy that there is a young enthusiast among you who enjoys the same cool prototype aircraft stuff that most of you have been doing for a long time!

I wish you all the best of health and happiness!

Welcome!

Forums are indeed considered a bit old-fashioned nowadays, this website is actually significantly older than you are (started in December 2005), though it has been upgraded a few times since then.

Nowhere else really has the same depth of coverage over its 17 years of existence, though, for the core subjects we discuss.

Hello!

I'm Anonimo, an italian student currently in the Biotechnologies field that loves aerospace and defense topics.
I've been quite a lurker on the forum for some…years, mainly for research purposes, but decided to join out of curiosity and interest in discussing (and this could be a place where i can exploit my connections in the Italian Air Force and some aerospace/defense companies for questions or stuff, lol).

Hello from New Zealand. I am researching the Peace Pearl J8 project and I've found my way here. Have found lots of good info so far so thank you. Otherwise I am but a humble civil servant who fancies himself an amateur Cold War aviation historian.

Greetings from Atlanta! I am a Ga. Tech AE graduate and was an aerodynamics and performance engineer at General Dynamics Fort Worth Division in TX (now a Lockheed unit) and Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Company in Marietta, GA.
I was part of the F-22 Flight Sciences that did the aerodynamic development of the F-22 Raptor. Also, I did this same role on the A-12 Avenger II (aka Dorita aka Flying Wing). There were other projects that I was part of including the NASA High-Speed Civil Transport, USAF MRF, ASTOVL, C-130, and maybe a few others.
Great to be here! - Rich

Welcome Rich !!! What a CV !
I hope you can tell us some interesting things about the A-12 Avenger.

Hello there.

By day working as a civil servant, by night I pass the time doing worldbuilding, including understanding designs for planes, ships and spacecraft.

Cheers and greetings from the Philippines.

Hi, I am Steve Gilkes. In 1988/89, I worked in the Advanced Projects Department at BAe Warton, directly on HOTOL and on some alternatives being looked at, without the air breathing rocket. Though brief, it was obviously a fascinating period with quite some free thinking. I also worked for 6 months on the Japanese Aerospaceplane project at MHI in Nagasaki.

Hi. I'm Trevor, 69, living in Letchworth. I have a variety of interests, mostly artistic, although I've built, flown and taught model rockets. Always interested in experimental aviation.

Hello,
I am a scale modeler and have been interested in all German tech developed prior to and during WW2, I am equally interested in land, sea and air items, with a special interest in projects, prototypes and one-off field conversions. On the data-side: I have been collecting data about these for the the past 20-25 years, and have a large database / archive. On the hobby-side: I build in scale 1/72 mainly and love the oddities I can find. More recently I have been doing conversions and scratch-builds for myself and a freind. Looking forward to doing research here and adding content where I can.
Best regards,
Tony

Hello everyone! I'm 18 and i'm a late-ww2 and early 1950's experimental aircraft enthusiast who has spent the last six years doing a LOT of writing, worldbuilding and drawing. This forum has been vital for finding out details and information about unbuilt and unfinished german engines, various aircraft projects and related historical infomation that i needed for an alternate-history story project so i hope to find out a lot more since this place seems a lot more tight-knit than i initally thought!

Hello, everyone,

I've quite often lurked on this forum, because I found here a lot of interesting topics...

My name is Daniel, I'm French (so english is not my native language), and I have been an aviation buff since my childhood (my mom offered me my first aviation--related comic when I was seven, and my dad offered me my first aviation-related magazine in 1987 -I was twelve)

I've decided to register on this forum because I love all the "unknown" aud "obscure" aircrafts . I'm more interested in "small" nations aerospace industries and products, than those of the "Big guys"...

I'm also a history, and alternate timelines buff, which is rather to the point of this forum...

Hence my presence here...

Greetings,

My name is Ioan. I live in Swansea, UK, where I studied aerospace engineering at university.

Interested in this forum for information about supersonic aircraft, both built and unbuilt.

I'm working on some of my own 'fantasy'/speculation projects: vacuum airship, supersonic solar powered aircraft.
