The Danish engineer Harald Thyregod designed several home built designs during the '50s/'60s,
his HT-1 was actually built and first flown in 1964, but in a quite different shape, than drawn in 1958.
The first layout was shown in Aero February 1960, the aircraft later built by Arne Hollaender and Aksel
Smidt is shown on http://www.planesandchoppers.com/picture/number16730.asp.
Original data given by the constructor were a span of 8.95 m, length of 4.95 m, weight of 500 kg and
powered by two VW engines of 90 hp each.

I would like to do a pre.investigation for eventually building a scale-model-airplane of the Hollsmidt aeroplane in Stauning.
My modterhs cousin is Arne Hollænder who partyicipated in building and flying this smart looking plane.
I would like to know wher you found the drawing of the first layout of this plane.
The website "planesandchoppers.com" does not work for me.

Any help is appreciated

Sorry, I'm late ....
Wasn't that easy to find that scan of a page, I took 12 years ago, but here it is in original size, it's actually from the AERO magazine, first issue 1960
Will try to OCR it tomorrow, didn't fully succeed with the software, I just have at hand, sorry.

No problem, it is a nice picture in this small book. Today I was adviced to contact the museum "Dansk Flymuseum" to see what they have got in the archives. Maybe tomorrow.

Not much sense in OCR, that page was just photographed, so simply typed out:

„Dipl Ing. Harald Thyregod hat einen mit zwei VW-Motoren ausgerüsteten Amateurbau-Tiefdecker entwickelt, der unter 500 kg Fluggewicht bleiben und selbst bei Ausfall eines Motors in 500 m Höhe noch eine Steigleistung von 0.5 m aufweisen soll. Zeichnungen und Berechnungen wurden bereits 1958 der dänischen Luftfahrtbehörde vorgelegt und werden zur Zeil durch das Aerodynamische Institut der Technischen Hochschule Kopenhagen geprüft.

Der Konstrukteur gibt für die H. T.-1 zunächst folgende Werte bekannt : Spannweite 8,95 m; Länge 4,95 m; Flügelfläche 10.00 m2; Fluggewicht 500 kg: Reisgeschwindigkeit 160 km/h; Reichweite mit zwei Personen und 20 kg Gepäck 500 km“



(Dipl Ing. Harald Thyregod has developed an amateur-built low-wing aircraft, equipped with two VW engines, which should stay under 500 kg take-off weight and still have a climb performance of 0.5 m, even if one engine fails at 500 m altitude. Drawings and calculations were already submitted to the Danish Aviation Authority in 1958 and are currently being examined by the Aerodynamic Institute of the Technical University of Copenhagen.

The designer initially announced the following values for the H. T.-1: wingspan 8.95 m; length 4.95 m; wing area 10.00 m2; flying weight 500 kg: cruising speed 160 km/h; range with two persons and 20 kg luggage 500 km)
