Nearly forgotten, another project is mentioned, from a company not really known for producing airships:
At the beginning of the '70s, the Dornier AG had drawn projects for a passenger and a cargo carrying airship.
Those studies were ordered by the "Flugschiffbau Hamburg GmbH", without precise requirements or limits,
so the chance for realisation seems to have been very low from the start. Both variants had a volume of
200.000 cbm, an envelope made of thin aluminium sheet and four tiltable props.
The passenger version should carry 468 pax, the cargo version 75 tons of freight over a distance of 600 km.

I've split the post above from the thread in the Early projects section, to form the nucleus of a new
thread about postwar developments of airships in Germany. If someone stumbles across other such
posts, please tell me.
As an addition, a concept (probably no "project" in our sense) from Hans Lemmerzahl for an airship
with a length of about 400 m, carrying a payload of 120 to 150t with a speed of up to 300 km/h.
It should be powered by internal turbines with a large intake in the nose. The inscription "Graf
Zeppelin" was meant as an honour to the father of the German airship and has nothing to do with
a participation of the Zeppelin company.
