Bristol 198 was the ancestor of Concorde.

Ealy 198 configuration was very similar to Bristol GOR 339. my photo ;D

Very beautiful SST. Landscape visibility is excellent. But fuel charge and engine maintenance seems to be little problem.

Awsome looking design! I could see this as one of the 'Thunderbird 6' :eek:
But then again, I read somewhere that many of the engineers on the Concord program said they were influenced by the TV show 'Thunderbirds!!

Bristol Aerospace since 1910.

My all time favorite GOR339 contender, straight out of a sci-fi comic. Awesome looking machine.

as for the M-wing above - I thought it was a Handley Page design ? a transonic, mach 1.15 design (maybe I'm mixing different things here).
