I say this on this topic but it applies everywhere. While it is commendable to arrange the topics on the forum in a way that makes it easy for reseachers find out what they need, please consider that is individual projects are very similar it is better to aggregate projects in more general topics. The series on the early Bloch projects is an example of this, at least for some of them (for example: heavy transports by Bloch, etc.).
Besides this, and this APPLIES EVERYWHERE (strong emphasis): please refer the source of the picture and drawings info, expecially when it is clearly from published sources. We, individually and as a community, have already encountered upset copyright holders, don't want to reiterate the experience. Please, take notice and correct with the modify function your past topics. More importantly, do this for the future, please.

The original Block 134 concept for A21 (powered by twin 1250hp GR 14Ps) more closely resembled the Bloch 131 (although, as Archibald said, there was no actual commonality).

A minor note: as built, the specs mention GN 14N 48/49s and GN 14R 2/3s. The former as flown on the sole 134 B4, the latter as planned for a production version.

The MB-134 puzzle me. I don't know what was built.
The MB-131-like machine, or the much better MB-174-like thing ?
Both ?
Did they totally rebuilt the former into the latter ? Dubious... can't see a MB-131 derivative flying at 570 kph...

Hi,

for the MB-160 derivatives, there was also MB-163 heavy bomber
for the same specification as MB-162.

Bloch projects merged

You'll note that some posts lost their original place. The software offers little human control in the process. I tried to keep coherence in the original conversations as much as possible but, nevertheless, I'm so sorry for the inconveniences.

There are still many Bloch designs in mixed topics that I have considered best informative to leave untouched. Find it is easy with the forum's search tool.

Hi,

there is also the MB-141 and MB-232,but I don't know any info about them.

Renamed topic

Thanks for all the work! The new title is good, but I think this topic should deal only with truly distinctive projects that are not merely unbuilt variants of aircraft covered in existing topics.

For the ones that do not speak English, I explain that the 141 was not an unbuilt project, but a prototype that reached no success at all. Tested and flown, while no photograph seems to have survived... So, almost unknown, and the topic's new title is perfect for that. Thanks.

According to Le Fana no.343, the MB.163 was a scaled-down version of the MB.162, or a MB.162 with a smaller wing.
The same article mentions a Bloch MB.400 passenger derivative of the MB.160, with tricycle gear, whose prototype was started but never completed.

To Hesham: instead of 232, do you mean the MB.202 ? This was a four-engine version of the MB.200, which flew in 1934. There is no remaining photograph of the prototype, only one of a mock-up. The picture and drawings below are from Le Fana no.342.

Here are unnamed four-engine Bloch studies, some of which were drawn by Marcel Riffard. These are from Le Fana no.342 again.
The same source mentions further four-engine projects: the Bloch IX and XI passenger aircraft and the Bloch XVI heavy bomber (BN5), of 1930-31.

Thank you C460,

but I think it was MB.232,unfortunately no info about it.

We had the MB.500 here before, contender for the pre-war programme for
a "triplace de travail". In the InterAvia 11/46 I've now found another "Bloch 500",
a twin engined "avion de tourisme", shown as a partial mock-up on the aerosalon
1946. Certainly no connection to the older type with this designation, but as
development seem to have been already quite advanced then, it probably had
started during times of war.

Hi Maveric
From an old "Aviation magaine" Jean Liron write :
Derived from the MB 80 (as the MB 140) the
MB 170, build during february 1936 in Marignane by
ingeneer Roussel was a two seats monoplane.
Renault 4 pei 140hp engine with Levasseur airscrew
But after the "nationalisation" in november 1936
this plane, near to make its first flight, was leave.

Yes my dear Toura,

the MB.80 derivative was MB.140 and MB.141,of course the MB.140 project
is not realated to the later four engined MB.140.
