Bloch unbuilt designs and prototypes

Hi,

there are many little known Bloch projects,such as MB.62,it was developed from MB.61,
as ET4 aircraft with the same engine of MB.61,appeared in 1932,but not built.

Hi,

the Bloch MB.101 was developed from MB.100,but no more details are known.

A little known Bloch projects;

MB.212;
The Bloch MB.212 was the designation given to the prototype Bloch 211 four-seat night bomber after its inline engines were replaced with Hispano-Suiza air-cooled radial engines during 1936. The Bloch 211 was been powered by two 860hp Hispano-Suiza 12Ybrs inline engines when it made its maiden flight on 16 April 1935, but the inline engines didn't provide any increase in performance over the Gnôme & Rhône radials used on the Bloch 210. During 1936 the Bloch 211 was re-engined with Hispano-Suiza 15Aa01/02 radial engines, and redesignated as the Bloch 212. As with the Bloch 211 this version of the aircraft was not entered into production.

Also the mystery the MB.218,which developed from MB.210 series;

Hi,

the Bloch MB.218 was a torpedo bomber seaplane version of MB.210,eight aircraft
ordered by French navy,but cancelled and remained a project only.

Hi,

the Bloch MB.261 was a 40 passenger airliner aircraft project,based on MB.161,intended for Air France ways,but the aircraft was never completed.

Hi Hesham,
I tried to check in Gallica, but Les Ailes no.886 is from 9 June 1938, and I find nothing about the MB.550.

OK my dear Adrien.

Hi,

Bloch MB.360 was six engined transatlantic aircraft project,accommodated 40 passenger,and
powered by six 2200 hp with speed of 600 km/h and weight 63 to 68 ton,the MB.361 was based
on it,and powered 3500 P & W engines,speed of 700 km/h and weight 70 ton.

From l'Aeronautique 12/1934,

here is a drawing to Bloch-130.

Cutaway Bloch MB 174-4, retouched image to unite both halves and correct some scanning product details

Not to undermine your work, Motocar, but unless there's something I failed to see here, I think this average quality scan is adding nothing to the quality image JimK shared a few hours ago... PLUS he didn't mess up the page with one of those annoying scrolling pics, but instead attached them as is customary on our forum. Perhaps you could try to do the same next time?

Unfortunately I do not know as they do in their forum, the image that gather has retouched the central area where you lost some visual information and for purposes aesthetic also maintains the original format, the next time invite to see it in the section "Artwork" via a link.

Greetings Motocar

P.D Excuse my poor English

Thank you my dear Toura,

and about the MB.190,I will search about it.

Hi,

Hi,

here is a primary Bloch MB.134 concept and MB.136 float version Project.

That's the early 1937 Bloch 134 B4 concept for Edition Nº 1 du Programme Technique A 21. The built version had Gnome-Rhône 14N 48/49s in place of the original concept's GR 14Ps. The built version also differed in having continuous glazing between cockpit and gunner's position.

The 4-engined MB 135 and float MB 136 retained the earlier MB 134's upper decking. The MB 136 was to be powered by GR 14P or 14N engines. The built MB 480 was essentially similar to the GR 14N-powered version of the MB 136 project (other than the addition of a spreader bar on the floats and bracing for the twin tails).

That's right my dear Apophenia,

and the designing of MB.480 was prevented MB.136 to materialize,it was better than it.

Not sure about "better" ... but certainly different. The MB 480 was a conceptual evolution of the MB 136 but based on a different airframe. The MB 136 was based on the airframe of the original MB 134. The MB 480 airframe was based on that of the slightly enlarged second iteration of the MB 134.

MB 136: span 20.82 m, length 15.10 m, gross weight 9,165 kg

MB 480: span 23.50 m, length 19.10 m, gross weight 10,000 kg

My dear Apophenia,

as they wrote in the magazine,the developing of MB.480 killed the program of MB.136.

Yes, or put another way: Projects based on the first, smaller iteration of the MB 134 airframe - like the MB 136 - were eclipsed by projects based on the revised and slightly-enlarged later MB 134 airframe - like the MB 480.

Here are unnamed four-engine Bloch studies, some of which were drawn by Marcel Riffard. These are from Le Fana no.342 again.
The same source mentions further four-engine projects: the Bloch IX and XI passenger aircraft and the Bloch XVI heavy bomber (BN5), of 1930-31.

In colors.

According to Le Fana no.343, the MB.163 was a scaled-down version of the MB.162, or a MB.162 with a smaller wing.
The same article mentions a Bloch MB.400 passenger derivative of the MB.160, with tricycle gear, whose prototype was started but never completed.

And the text about MB.400.

Anyone have the real flight performance data of the mb-157? The rumors that it had a top speed of 700 km/h have been proven wrong and I wondered if anyone here have its real papers?

From Aero Journal 59,

a small Info about Bloch MB-140 & MB-141 which developed from MB-80,also
a hint about MB-95.
