Space Models Ltd was located in Feltham Greater London. The company was founded in 1964 and was recognized as one of the UK's two leading companies in the production of Aerospace, Industrial, Military and Film & TV models and miniatures.

Space Models was bought out by OXON Technologies in 2006, but unfortunately went into receivership in 2009 after an illustrious run of over 45 years.

Space Models screen credits included 2001: A Space Odyssey, Thunderbirds, Space 1999, Joe 90, Captain Scarlet, Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines, James Bond movies, Blakes 7 and numerous other TVshows and films.

One of the very rare occasions I got to make something at Space Models Ltd (I was too slow to be a production modelmaker but was allowed to do the occasional one-off for special events). This 1/36 scale Arkia Boeing 787 was made for a signing ceremony in Tel Aviv, the order came in on a Thursday, none of my team of production modelmakers were available so I had to do the model myself over a weekend. It was delivered to Tel Aviv on the following Tuesday.

HELP PLEASE Hello everybody - I have just joined the group in the vague hope someone may be able to help me.

Around 2012 I purchased a museum type display unit , consisting of a heavy base and construction of what appears to be two flight simulators or similar. Please see photos below!

Does anyone know what exactly this is/ where it came from ?

Height 60cm x 80cm x 100 cm approx.

Plaque says - Space Models London - Made in England
