The project was cancelled, but the team was allowed final tests in 1961 that demonstrated a 6,500 km range at Mach 3.2 with the 2,350 kg payload. In cancelling Burya the Russians gave up technology that Lavochkin planned to evolve into a manned shuttle-like recoverable launch vehicle.

They showed a document adressed to Communist party where A.Tupolev a teacher of P.O.Sukhoi requested a prompt cancelation of T-4 test flights in favour of his upcomming Tu-160 project. They also proved by another document that SOTKA wasn`t grounded due to Soviet/American SALT treaty negotiations. I hope you have already downloaded the documentary movie....
