Can anyone find more information about this Pegna-Bonmartini “Elicottero”? I'm having trouble even making out the dimensions form that scan.

If my reading of the pdf is correct it was meant to be able to alight on water. If this is the case - I assume that the two larger side mounted propellers couldn't be angled. So, my assumption is that all four of the larger propellers were fixed and manoeuvring would be done with the tail rotor and the two miniature side propellers. Does this seem correct?

Once I figure out the dimensions I'll be able to confirm if this was a single-engine design. It'd be fascinating to learn more about the transmission (or the overall estimated weight etc.)

Sources vary, Mav. Some say that the Piaggio P.1 was to be based upon the 2-seat Rondone. Wikipedia quotes the following source:
Luigi Mancini, Grande enciclopedia aeronautica. Ed. "Aeronautica" – Milano, 1936. E. F. XIV p. 386-7.

A more recent source is Guiseppe Ciampaglia's Gli aerei e i motori della Compagnia Nazionale Aeronautica di Giovanni Bonmartini (IBN, 2012, page 64), which says:

Malgrado la sua semplicita ed il basso costo, la richiesta di macchine acree private da turismo era allora quasi del tutto inesistente e anche dop che fu ceduto all Piaggio, dove il Rondine fu risiglato Piaggio P.1, nessuno di questo acroplani di serie fu mai completato e venduto.

Or ... "Despite its simplicity and low cost, the demand for small private touring aircraft at that time was virtually non-existent. Even after the the Rondine was sold to Piaggio - as the Piaggio P.1 - no series 'acroplane' of this type was ever completed or sold. "

Not that I know off ... but that would answer the question once and for all. Maybe Piaggio was shopping around both Pegna-Bonmartini variants as his potential P.1 to test the market waters? That would explain the on-going Rodine or Rondone confusion.

It's a proposed "high speed, catapult launched, jet seaplane", even if it's just a sketch.
The whole article talks about how seaplanes are better suited for high speed with fewer mechanical complications, compared to land based planes.
