Any drawings or pictures of the launcher ?

And here the "Sa-Go" ?

Did they develop guided Air-to-Air Rockets ?

Thanks a lot for help and Many greetings

Visit http://www.j-aircraft.org/xplanes/index.html and click on the + beside Site Areas in the left hand menu. There, you'll find a link to Missiles/Rockets of the IJA and IJN which includes the Funryu and I-Go series. A bit outdated info-wise, but, should get you by.

Cheers,

Ed

The Imperial Japanese Navy made extensive efforts on unguided anti-aircraft rockets in 1945, mostly from multi-launch racks. They also had surface-to-surface rockets mounted on the Shinyo special attack boats. There is a 1945 US Navy report on these on the web ( I don't have the site bookmarked unfortunately)

The Imperial Japanese Army made extensive use of surface-to-surface rockets in 1945, notably on Iwo Jima.

ı remember reading an article about Japanese aircraft carriers and their ineffective 127 mm flak rockets . Not challenging Searay's post but the calibre surprised me .

Regarding the caliber of the IJN naval AA rockets, the US Technical Mission to Japan report "Ordnance Targets: Japanese Naval Rockets" describes them as "12 cm". The USAFPAC AAA Research Board report "Survey of Japanese Anti-aircraft Artillery" also describes them as 120mm. The later report is the source of the photos I posted.
