Russian FSB "Volkodav" ("Wolfhound") battle suit, protection of the torso from rifles, protection of the limbs and head, presumably from pistols. There is a cooling and heating system for different climates and a closed breathing system, other possibilities are unknown.

The problem of poor accuracy of the stormtroopers has been resolved... by issuing grenade launchers to the stormtroopers.

I'd suspect that human error at higher command levels will continue to be more of a problem, and only amplified by the frankly insane restructuring of the USMC.

sounds like paralysis by analysis...how about autonomy is the only way one can hope even to survive let alone win in urban environments. Where is the survivable human like decoy/combat robotic for instance?

Rather than progress on urban tech, we have, for instance a Harvard soft exoskeleton effort which should have had a liquid armor "A" version deployed w/ Specops years go. We have a chaotic and quixotic academia which continues to receive free USG money w/ barely any privatization incentives or fielding time-lines/directives. talk about any capitalist

This Russian company writes that it produces armor plates of the BR1 to BR6 classes. According to the Russian classification, BR1 protects against 9x18 Makarov, BR5 protects against 7.62x54R with AP bullet, BR6 protects against 12.7x108.
Here they write that this company offers a BR6 slab weighing 3.1 kg, it is not much heavier than BR5 (2.4 kg).
There is also quite interesting data on the development of body armor in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century.

Tests of body armor designed by Lieutenant Colonel Avenir Chemerzin in 1909, with M1908 7.62x54R cartridge. The thickness of the armor plate is 2 mm, shelling from a distance of 8 shag (5.69 m), "the bullet made a dent ~ triple thickness", that is, about 22.86 mm. Body armor weight 8 pounds, or, 3.276 kg (Russian pound = 409.5 g). Of course, here we mean only half of a full-fledged body armor (only the chest part).

Here Chemerzin offers two types of body armor, an 8-pound (the same as was tested in 1909), which costs 600 rubles, and a 15-pound (6.14 kg), which costs 75 rubles and has lower protection. This body armor protects against rifles from a distance of 100 shag (71.12 m).
Russian bulletproof vest Kirasa-5 (protection class 5, or BR4 according to modern classification) protects against 7.62x54R M1908 / 1930 from a distance of 100 meters. The M1908 / 1930 bullet has the same penetration as the M1908. Kirasa-5 weighs 12 kg, Chemerzin's armour weighs 6.1425 kg, that is, the full version will weigh 12.285 kg. In fact, this bulletproof vest for 75 rubles is an analogue of Kirasa-5, and Kirasa-5 is a modern bulletproof vest of "average" quality (there are more modern counterparts that weigh the same and have the same protection class). Another Chemerzin's bulletproof vest has a weight 1.875 times less than that of the "modern" one and has much better protection, but costs 8 times more. I strongly doubt that the Russians now do not have the technology that they had 100 years ago, I think it is quite possible to make a BR6 bulletproof vest, weighing like BR5, but which will cost 20-30 times more.
