Editing text in new forum software.

It doesn't appear you can select text and format it, but that you have to select the format (underline, italic, bold, etc.) and then type in the selected format. Is that the only way to do it now or am I missing something?

I was able to :
1. Click the edit button
2. Select a piece of text
3. Click the Bold button
4. Click the Save button

It's saved the word as BOLD

Hmm. Doesn't work when I do that. Works in Chrome. Doesn't in IE or Firefox. (Sadly I hate Chrome and use the other two.)

Not a fan of Edge. (Maybe the Chrome version will be better. Or maybe Firefox will fix their program.)

It works in FF 65.0.2 (64-bit) for me.

Works fine for me in Firefox 67 too plus Edge. It doesn't work in IE11, I check Xenforo support forums and they have it listed as a bug with Xenforo 2.1.2 but they also suggest that IE11 is nearing end of life for them and Xenforo 2.2 will not support it.

IE11 reaches official EOL from Microsoft in January 2020 I believe.

Having said that, 12% of visitors here still use Internet Explorer.
