Dornier Do X Projects/Designs

Early mockups of the Do X that I found. They are of an unknown date, and appear to have between 10 - 12 engines in various configurations. Apparently the fuel tanks were to be positioned between the passenger cabins. Does anyone have any more info or sources for the images? Thank you.

Never seen such Do-X mockups before.
I wonder, if the some of them are made without any "stummels" or floats, only using the extreme wide hull for balancing on the water?
Or such "small" details didn't incorporated to mockups?

There were several concepts designs leading to the DoX, the earliest from 1919. Here are a couple in the French magazine l'Aeronautique.

This page is the exactly one, that I remember, when I seen the initial images in this thread. Project of 1924 contains certain features, that looks, like a careful steps from the smaller "Wal" to the giant "Do X":
1) push-pull engines installations, above the hull, on the relatively short struts, allowing access, at least on water
2) hull with big width-to-length ratio, allowing to omit stummels - perhaps, too self-confident
3) large wing, placed over hull by struts and braced by diagonal struts
4) passenger compartment of single deck layout, closer to "Wal", then of "Do X"

I guess, that idea of clean elliptical wing could be one of key driving factors of 1924's project.
