If this would be true, we would all drive around with Kronogard turbines. Still, the only land vehicels which are partially using turbines are tanks. Not even in locomotives or ships are using gas turbines anymore, despite there have been (locomotives and commercial ships) some in production. It was a deadend back than an will be so in the future.
Intrestingly, there have been some japanese turbines for turbochargers of sport cars in the 80th, so there cost weren't unbearable. This turbines were lighter but less efficient than conventional metal turbines. The ceramics needed thicker wall thicknesses, which reduced their efficiency.
