South Korea's turbofan engine for the CCA, which has been under development since 2013, has finally been unveiled to the public, so I thought this was a good time to start this thread.
One of the most promising applications for ceramics is in gas turbine engines. They can handle much higher temperatures than the metals currently used and are far less expensive. Back in the 70s and 80s, ceramics were hailed as the killer app for automotive turbine engines.
Ive been looking for information regarding the AVCR1360-2 Variable Compression Engine, I know its a diesel inline 6 but thats about it, ive also had a brief memory of it being used in the General Motors XM1 Tank prototype, although this could be a Mandela effect
any more information would help...

Since Russia is making AL-51F as their replacement to the AL-31F will there be any plans to have a successor to the RD-33 engine used by the MiG-29 or we are stuck with the RD-33MK?
I visited the polish aviation museum in krakow yesterday and I saw the only surviving argus as 5 engine. There It said that there were plans to install the engine in a giant plane, but this project was canceled. Are there any info or/and drawings of that plane?

Does anyone have any information pertaining to the maximum engine output of the Bristol Centaurus V and Bristol Centaurus XVIII during wartime conditions from what i can tell alot of sources only mention their peacetime power output the same goes with many of british aircraft engines...
