While searching the NTRS for information on subsonic airliner designs, I found what seems to be the last nuclear powered aircraft proposal.
It was a hybrid aircraft using conventional fuel for take off and then transitioning to nuclear power at cruising speed/altitude

Hello. I hope everyone is well.
I'm on the ear-'ole for some info about the above. Nothing appears when I search online (I am aware there may not be a great deal of info existing so my hopes were far from high) all I have to go on is what is on PP 87-88 of Tony Buttlers latest American Secret...

Hello,
I am looking for info on the San Diego Aircraft Engineering ( Sandaire ) "Stinger". This was the lightest V/STOL design that was proposed for the VFA for the Sea Control Ships in the early 1970's.
Does anyone have a photo of the McDonnell F-101 Mockup, model 36W? I'd like to build a 1/144 scale version of the plane and, despite the fact that I've got five different Voodoo books as well as Steve Pace's XF-88 book, I cannot find a drawing or a pic of it. Thanks.

It would drive the cost sky high and ensure it never got built. And 90% of the targets wouldn't require it anyway. The US is even retiring it's best cruise missiles (the stealthy AGM-129) rather than convert them to conventional. Not sure why. Only thing I can come up with is the idea of...
