That's what I'm talking about! I'm quite curious about this as it's quite rare to see an Su-27SK paired with a RVV-AE..But can the R-77 Pylon be simply installed on the Su-27SK without modification? Because I am quite sure that the Pylon is not compatible with the Fire control system or components of the Su-27SK itself..

TNI AU bought them back in the day, so I guess they are capable of using them. The VPAF also has RVV-AEs for their own Su-27SK / Su-30MKK.

Fundamentally, pylon-to-wing attachment is same, anything all pylon type or size.

Reason is very simple,all SK/SKM after the first general overhaul got radar N001VE. With that radar it was possible to integrate missile 'Product 190' or R-77E ( RVV-AYe).

That's very interesting information! I'm pretty sure I missed something but it seems very rare to see news reports saying that the Su 27SK received the N001VE (Although the Su-27SKM received the N001VEP1 from the early)

Ooops mistake,sorry. SK and MK from 2003 had N001E first . After that so called TNI AU got SKM and MK2 with N001VE (VEP). During the first general overhaul all SK/MK got VEP radar like SKM/MK2. All of them were produced by KnAAZ( former KnAAPO ). Radar N001VE/VEP has so called LITER frequencies which can be used together with R-77E and that capability basic N001/E has not.
