Does that mean one HUD/Pilot combination behind the coated canopy is significantly more reflective than one and a half one staggered above, covered by the same canopy?
I think it is not so much cockpit size, which is of a low relevance, but an extra canopy brace. If it is external, you get yourself up to 2 more edges open to reflection.
But estimatig RCS from a picture is a fool's errand in on itself, let alone a picture of a prototype.

From George, the lower weapon seems to be a hypersonic ALBM?
It became obvious that dual-seater is not only for the export. Also it became obvious that Su-57D is something like 'Punkt upravleniya' or the command-control centre. Judging by the logo, that ALBM is very similar to Chinese CM-400 or some kind of ''mini- Dagger''.Maybe it is hypersonic CM but nevermind ,we got clue that VKS definitely wants dual-seater as the CC-centre for the combat groups of Su-57,Su-75 ,S-70 and for the control of some weapons like S-71 etc . It seems that cockpit canopy looks like just as of the Su-27UB and the question is how they open it.Maybe in the same way as Su-27UB.

However, we have to wait for the most important thing - reconfiguration with the relocation of the ventilation system (allegedly near the fuselage number) and the 101KS-U window.

I wonder what canopy opening mechanism they opted for that.
Not sure if you're asking about specifics, but if not - if you're simply asking in which direction it opens - I'd say it is likely that it opens to the side. Rear hinge and opening upwards, like on the F15E and Su30, may not be plausible with such a long canopy and the observed brace angle.

So will India finally buy the Su-57D variant considering that they never bought the Su-57 the first time round? I suppose that they really have no choice.

Supposedly, India wasn't impressed with the radar on the Su57, and Russia wasn't open to the idea of them installing their own domestic GaN radar. Although who knows what to believe - from what I understand they've been talking about modernising their Su-30MKI fleet with domestic radars and engines for more than a decade too, and I don't think that has materialised.

I am surprised at Russia not allowing India to put their own domestic radar onto the Su-57 after all they allowed international avionics onto the Su-30MK series of multi-role fighters. I would think that the right thing for Russia to do right now is to allow India certain amount of freedom and put their own radar onto the Su-57.

Yeah, India is always going to demand some amount of domestic modification and technology transfer for projects moving forwards - they are very conscious of how much China has accelerated in military technology over the last one or two decades.

One other thing how different is India's radar compared to the standard Russian Su-57 radar interms of range? It cannot be all that different in terms of modern technology?

Hard to tell, India hasn't yet produced fighter radars to date.
In principle you can go for a modern GaN architecture with international TRMs, and get quite a lot over vanilla 2015 set.

The problem is of course that Su-57 "radar" is really bunch of synchronized sets working together for multiple subsystems and roles...will India domesticate entire Sh121?

The articles I've seen talk about the Su-57 radar being GaA, whereas India's domestic one would be GaN (again supposedly, I don't know how accurate those claims are).
Regarding raw performance figures, I wouldn't trust anyone who claims to know for either. No one with the clearance and access to that information would be risking their job/life to divulge it on Twitter/social media.

Don't want to go on a tangent too much, but what indian AESA for Su-57 are we even talking about? Afaik there is not one single indian AESA fighter radar operational on any IAF fighter, they are still testing Uttam and Virupaksha is not even flying on Su-30 yet. So the talk of an indian AESA for Su-57 is wishful thinking even right now, let alone in the 2010s.

Two-Seat Variant Of Russia’s Su-57 Felon Fighter Materializes

https://www.twz.com/air/two-seat-variant-of-russias-su-57-felon-fighter-materializes

''Some reports suggest that this new version of the Felon is designated Su-57D or Su-57UB, but this remains unconfirmed. In a Russian aerospace context, the suffix D would normally denote long range, while UB signifies a combat trainer.''

''D'' means dual-seater. Д-двухместный вариант.

Btw ,'FB' is very angry with the George.N comments.

News from the FB :

''Су-57Д (Э, УБ, УБЭ, ДЭУБ, ХЗ) сегодня выполнил свой первый полет.

Полет выполнялся с одним лётчиком-испытателем на борту.Ждем соответствующего заявление ОАК, и им лучше поторопиться.Ибо от выкладывания шикарных фоточек с вылета меня останавливает примерно ничего. ''

"The Su-57D (E, UB, UBE, DEUB, KhZ) completed its maiden flight today. The flight was carried out with one test pilot on board. We're waiting for the corresponding statement from UAC, and they'd better hurry. Because there's practically nothing stopping me from posting gorgeous photos from the flight."

In fact ,there is eight AESA radars, four centimetric and four decimetric. Indians can maybe have its own radar in the Su-30MKI 'Super-30' but in the Su-57E/ (ED) one day ,very hard.

I know it's real but man it just looks trippy.

If I didn't know this was from trusted and official sources I wouldn't have believed this.
We live in a cursed reality where ai makes more believable pictures than actual engineering (though here it was clearly processed).

FB wrote that designation 'D' isn't yet confirmed by the UAC.

More photos from today's maiden flight of some unknown aircraft from @chkala_crew because UAC managed to not say what its correct name was.Keeping the suspense alive, so to speak. Saved for the New Year.We already have the Su-57.We also have the Su-57E. Algerian aircraft. The Su-57D will break all traditional values in naming Sukhoi aircraft modifications. The Su-57UB doesn't sound pompous or impressive enough for an aircraft capable of controlling swarms of "Okhotniks."

What is interesting is that the test flight was conducted without the second crew member ( shturman-navigator from the OKB in this case ). That is not the usual practice in the VKS ,in general for the dual-seaters and I'm asking myself, is there control stick in the rear cabine at all?

PS

Also we can see that the cockpit canopy opens just like on Su-27UB/-30 .

Just note that the rudders weren’t enlarged like those on the Su-27, Su-30, and Su-35 family.

There was no need for that 'cause take a look on the photo where '509' and '055' were one besides another. We can see that vertical stabilizers are 'high' enough in the case of the dual-seater. Also they are widely spaced and angled.

I know i know full image, but i had to, at least for this one.

If I see well, weapon compartment under the centroplane got some little expansion in the front part?
