Do you have any more about this MRS.4 or Type 905 radar?
Friedman was wrong - MRS.4 had a Type 904 radar.
MRS.4 was to be an interim Medium-Range System using 0-20sec AA predictor from the LRS.1 and the Type 904 radar was an enlarged 3ft diameter Type 262 radar from the CRBFD. Both were Vickers-Crayford projects, LRS.1 later morphed into the Type 901 for Sea Slug but the MRS.4 barely got beyond bench testing. (Note the Type 904 designation was later re-used for the Type 903 fitted to the GWS.22 director for Sea Cat, which is probably why Friedman got confused in the 1980s).

Type 905 was the I-band monopulse radar developed by Elliots Automation for their digital MRS.5, which was the planned long-term MRS solution. MRS.5 was aslo cancelled. The MRS.3 (initially intended as a copy of the US Mk.61 until the USN cancelled that system) took over as the main director, and had the Type 903 radar (which also became the GWS.22 director).

Any idea how these would look like? or what RN Archival documents they had data on? (I presume some sketches or drawings? )

I know how the CRBFD looks like, so does the MRS.3, I had my own depiction of the LRS.1 as well, but these other MRS variants are a mystery.
 
Tzoli. You've probably seen the parallel thread on the Navweaps site. There are no pictures of CRS1/MRS1/MRS2 or MRS4 directors. The Warship articles on RN Fire Control, and the one on RN Radar show a perspective view of the MRS5 radar head. This came from an Elliott's progress report, but shows a 905 radar trial head, not a fully formed director. This appears to show a single man on the mount, but this is likely to have been to visually put the radar onto a trials target, because the 905 radar didn't then have it's 906 adjunct for acquisition. You know MRS3 but MRS6 and 7 had the same Mk 6 director as FPS1, 2, 3, but with different below decks equipment. Things only changes with FPS5, which had the improved and smaller, Mk6M director

Do you have photos of these Flyplane systems? both the flyplane and FPS words provide much different results from google then I require

So far this is the only photo I found of the Flyplane Predictor System (unknown mark) located at an Indian Naval Maritime Museum

And what is actually the flyplane system on your image?
I only see the Mark VI / Mark 6 HACS director on it.
 
PS. Other systems like MRS6 and 7 had the same Mk 6 director and tallboy 275 radar console, but a different predictor - SEDC. The stabilisation equipment was also different in both systems.
 
There was no HACS Mk 5 or 6. During WW2, the UK stopped building the HACS Mk 4 table, the predictor part of the whole system. Later directors, Mk 5 and Mk 6 were paired with the SEDC predictor. Postwar, Flyplane was developed, but still using the Mk 6 director.
 
So what is Flyplane then??? I'm confused! It is the same name used for the Mark VI HA Director?
 
Flyplane is a fire control computing term. Systems that used it are FPS1-FPS5. These systems used the Mk 6,or Mk6M director. However several other systems also use the same looking Mk6 director. The differences are which associated equipment was fitted below decks, in the TS, or TS Annex.
 
So it is just a component not an entire above deck system like the various directors.
 
Flyplane (for the RN) is either a mathematical concept, or it's the entire FPS1-5 system ; it's not a single component.
