As for the Kh-101, Russia is doing everything it can to up production of these weapons, which gives the Russian Air Force its only means of striking deep into Ukraine with a heavy warhead.

So according to the author Iskander-M, Iskander-K and Kh-47M2 don't exist?

Notice also the speed of the engagement, Mach 0,66 (in relation to our A-10 would do the job great discussion).

*And is that a X or a H Model that we see on the pylon 8?

Incredibly doubtful claim, not necessarily because of the two missiles involved, and more so because of how few F-16s they have, thus have even less available, not particularly many pilots, limited missile stockpile, usual missile layout etc.

I.e. seems like quite an outlandish claim, reminiscent of "9/10 Iskander shot down", with videos surfacing of like 7-8 Iskander hitting targets somewhere.

It would be an AIM-9X and I'm fairly certain that the AIM-9H would've been retired by the USN by 1980 (The AIM-9L that replaced the AIM-9H entered production in1977).

On another note would one of the Mods please modify the thread's title to include the US DOD/NATO reporting name for the Kh-101 which is the AS-15 Kent please.

Are you sure?

The X has DACS thrusters laser proximity fuse apertures just behind the forward fins and the H the diamond airfoil on its forward fins (momentum airfoils in fact) we see clearly here, when the X has only thin airfoils (flat plate).

That's news to me, the AIM-9X GCU seems to be rather small to fit in DACS thrusters (Something I thought was limited to the much larger SM-3). I would be very surprised if there were still any AIM-9H variants still around as while it was very capable in its' time (Before being superseded in 1977 by the AIM-9L) the "H" model was introduced into service ~1972 right before operation Rolling Thunder II IIRC, it's old.
 
@NMaude : well, to be clear, I am not sure of that. I just probably misinterpret the holes just aft of the front fins as a compact DACS.(edit: it is obviously not)

Regarding the H model, let´s remember that those missiles comes from European AF stocks which were flying only scarcely armed planes. The former case make post Vietnam deliveries, for the last ones, well into the 90s highly plausible (mid 1980, early 1990s - think at all the AF in EU that flew F-104 very late)) and the latter could explain the presence of a H model so late after the end of production.

No DACS on AIM-9X, what you are looking at are the laser proximity fuze apertures.

There was an air launched missile concept with a divert system, but it was an BMD interceptor, not an AAM: NCADE. The only thing it had in common with AIM-9X was the IIR seeker, though - the airframe was AMRAAM based.

The last Starfighter were the Italian AF's F-104S, retired in 2004, which used AIM-9L or Aspide, the other European users retired their Starfighters in the 70s, 80s or early 90s.

I watched a video concerning the Mirage 2000s recently donated to Ukraine and in a Ukrainian video centred around the M2000s it would appear based on kill markings on the cockpit of one of them that M2000 has shot down six AS-23A Kodiak.
