You might be interested to see some of the variants I have bought from the Far
East model suppliers on Ebay.
The models have their profound limitations, especially when compared with the wonderful
works shown on the Whatifmodelers site or the beautiful Manufacturers models that feature
often here. However, if like me, you cannot make a kit well enough and have not the resources
to pay for the original, at around 100 Pounds or so these are quite nice treats.

Although labeled Grumman 698, the model is in fact of the McDonnell Douglas BAe
Canard drawing shown elsewhere. I have seen a Topping original model of this bird, but
at around 1000 dollars it would have been outside my paygrade!

The other model is a 56 Squadron paint up of the Avro Arrow in RAF colours. The undercarriage
broke in transit, but otherwise it is an okay model. No detail but it gives the feel of the Arrow.

Indeed. Here is what the Grumman G-698 actually was...
