Hi folks,

Over on Whatifmodelers, there was mention of a proposal to test podded pegasus on the Lockheed S-3 Viking to possibly create a VSTOL verion. Does anyone know anything of this?

Hadn't heard about it, but that would be one heck of a hotrod! going from ~9,000lbs to ~20,000lbs thrust per engine is going to do interesting things!

Ok, there's a question here that begs the question, which I thought someone would have already asked.
What would the 'missile' depicted in this Vought V-530 & V-534 be? The fact they have folded fins.....

Any relation to this one? They look similar aside from the folding wings.

Yeah, I'm not sure, what with the folded wings...But being completely honest, I know dido about the said Vought V-415A missile

Although, I'm just thinking, if the V-415A was a competitive design of the Eagle missile, would it still be associated with a 1970's design like the V-530 & V-534?

In which case, I guess, it's off to do some research on the V-415A.....
