Hi,

we can speak here about Russian aircraft prototypes and project during and pre WW1,
the engineers P.A. Shishkov and Sushenkov designed many airplanes, one was a two-
seat torpedo carrier pusher biplane seaplane and second was a anther two-seat seaplane,
but as I know there is also some unknown projects for AIS ?.

I have the Demkin 1 image (above) recorded as the Demkin Monoplane.

The first Russian aircraft with bicycle landing gear. This was supplemented by twin outrigger wheels beneath the wing. Monoplane with uncovered fuselage. Rudder had aerodynamically compensation.

Aircraft was tested in 1910 at St.Petersburg by Georgy Konstantinovich Demkin himself (who was a law student). The aircraft only achieved short hop flights.

DETAILS:
ENGINE: 1 x Anzani (25hp)
FIRST FLIGHT: 1910

I have also got Hesham's Demkin 2 image recorded as the Demkin Biplane.

An experimental tractor biplane, resembling BIS-2 and S-3, but lower wing was substantially smaller than the upper one which carried ailerons. Struts had oval crossection, whole design was more clean. Despite low engine power, short straight flights were performed during summer 1911.

DETAILS:
ENGINE: 1 x Anzani (25hp)
WING SPAN UPPER: 8.0 m
WING SPAN LOWER: 4.6 m
WING AREA: 17.0 sq m (11.2 upper, 5.8 lower)
ACCOMODATION: 1
FIRST FLIGHT: 1911
POWER LOADING: 13 kgs/hp

SOURCES:

Not recorded - but I suspect translated from old Krilya Rodiny magazine from a date before 1997. The information is similar to Hesham's quoted source so the magazine translation may have been originally from Shavrov's History of Aircraft Construction in the Soviet Union Until 1938 book.

Thank you my dear Cy-27,

and here is anther Russian little know aircraft, designed by Drzewiecki, called SK and it was
a pusher tandem wing aircraft, powered by Gnome engine, built in 1912.

Kostovich was a Hungarian originally and work in Russia,in 1879 created a helicopter, aeroplane and ornithopter,he designed and built an aeroplane with 40 hp engine in 1911,followed by a seaplane in 1914 and amphibian monoplane powered by one 100 hp engine in 1916,who has a drawings or pictures to the last three
aircraft ?.

Ognjeslav Kostović - Stepanović was a Serbian inventor, who spent most of his life in Russia. He had several advanced projects including the airship, aircraft, ornithopter, flying torpedo, submarine and hydroplane. Airship Russia had water cooled eight cylinder 80HP internal combustion gasoline engine with electric ignition. The airship was nearly complete in 1888 when he ran out of money. Russian military wasn't interested in his aircraft and it sat unfinished in a shipyard until it was destroyed in a fire. It had a length of 60 meters and width of 12 meters. He invented a type of plywood, arborite for the airship frame. Considering his favorite writer was Jules Verne, nobody should be surprised that he designed something that looks like aircraft from one of Verne's novels. :D
Submarine project was for eight people, which could stay submerged for up to 20 hours.
He was notoriously secretive, didn't want to patent his inventions because he wanted to keep his inventions only for russian consumption. Can't find more pictures in local sources. He filed a patent for his engine only in 1888, when the airship was nearly complete. He invented arborite in 1879 but didn't file US patent for it until 1906.
His grandparents were grain merchants from Novi Bečej, where he spent his summers and where a good part of my family resides. He is a local legend there. :)

Hi,

Mr. V.S. Keburiya built a glider aircraft in 1909,also designed and built a monoplane in 1912
or No.2,followed by No.3 in 1913,which similar to Morane but Nieuport-type undercarriage,
who has a pictures or drawings to them ?.

Hi,

Mr V.L. Aleksanderov, who was worked on AK-1 with Kalinin, and in pre-WW1 in Moscow Tech School,
he designed a monoplane, remained unfinished, has anyone a more Info about it or drawing ?.

Hi,

has anyone a picture or drawing to Duhovetsky D-1 of 1913,which powered by
one 8 hp engine ?.

Hi,

Mr A.A. Porokhovshchikov was very famous in Russia, and created a series of aircraft
began with Model or P.I up to P.IV,the last one developed into P.IVbis or P.14 ?,I don't
know why they called it P.14,and that means he had unveiled projects from P.7 to
P.13 or not ?.

http://www.airwar.ru/other/ussr.html

My opinion is (P-14) banal misprint or confusion associated with the use of Roman numerals.
Link refers to the P-IV.
Using the same constructive scheme P-IV, Porokhovshchikov built machines - P-IV 2bis(П-IV 2бис), P-VI, P-VI bis, that are were manufactured in small quantities and used to training pilots to the mid-20s.
His last project was a fighter aircraft P-VII (1935) with the engine "Hispano-Suiza" 700 hp, which tried unsuccessfully to build a factory №1. No other data.

About Kireev engine (projected in 1917-1919; 600 HP, 1800 rpm, I12, 38.18 L, dry weight 530-550 kg):
00000818.jpg
00000819.jpg
00000820.jpg
Modernization of "Ilya Muromets", from 4x150 HP Sunbeam to 1x600 HP Kireev
With three 3-metres propellers, weight 3x12 kg:
- Flight time + 7.78 hour (original, 4-5 hour)
- Or, bombs + 71.8 pood / 1176 kg (original, 400-500 kg)
- Or, passengers + 14 person
Also, projected single-propeller variant - 6 metres diameter, weight 96 kg, 500 rpm.
Also, told about designing of "optimal airplane for this engine", and, looking at all, bigger than "Ilya Muromets", "Svyatogor" and Izhora's bombers.

The designer was named Kireev, new for me,thank you Iron.
Engineer Kireev - one of engineers, who works at aircraft engines in Russian Empire and early RSFSR/USSR. Most famous engine, who made by Kireev - RBVZ-6, or, also, M-1, I6, 150 hp, based on German 150 hp "Benz". RBVZ-6 used on "Ilya Muromets", builted 45 engines. Also, worked at other serial engine, Vorobyev DEKA M-100, I6, 100 hp.
...
Other interesting Russian WW1 project - new 280-300 hp engine, based on French 220-240 hp "Renault". Many Russian airplanes projected with this engines, late "Ilya Muromets" - four engines, Izhora's bomber - six engines. Experimental engine was a more economical, used upgrade fuel system. Planned, produce this engine on "Russian Renault" plant, and, replacement of standart 220-240 hp "Renault". But, in USSR produced only standart French engine.

Plan of Panenkov 1915 six-barrel machine gun. Project watched in 1919, and not realised. I haven't data about this weapon.
Russian analog of "Fokker-Leimberger" :)

Kostovich projected weird hybrid between airplane and airship, and named "Aeroskaf". Steam engine, flapping wings, light gas... And, strange speed. In original project told - "Flight from St-Petersburg to Moskow in 1 hour 15 minutes". But, it's ~635 km. And, average speed is 508 kmph (?!). But, on latest drawings of "Aeroskaf" we can see jet engines (it's 1910 paint):
Aeroskaf.jpg

Malikhin 1886-1887 "Torpedo airship"
Balloon - lenght 297 foot (90.53 m), diameter 50 foot (15.24 m)
Platform - lenght 80 foot (24.38 m), width 7 foot (2.13 m), diameter of room 10 foot (3.05 m)
Steam machine, fuel - turpentine essence, "more effective than oil and coal".
Weapons - 1x37 mm Krupp Ballonabwehrkanone (yes, for fighting with enemy airships and balloons :) ), to 10 5-pood (81.9 kg) or 6-pood (98.3 kg) "torpedoes", full load to 60 pood (983 kg).

About weird Dubenskiy "air torpedo", "who automatic targeting on enemy flying apparatus". Also, "approved by professors Zhukovskiy and Sokolov", and, construction in progress in "Air ships squadron" (name of bomber squadron with "Ilya Muromets" airplanes).
