The amount of information I've dug up for this book is truly gigantic. We're working hard to keep it well under 400 pages, so that is part of the challenge. There is a LOT about the Dominator that has yet to see the light of day, so organizing it, doing the illustrations, etc. has proven to be more work than we originally anticipated.

Any updates on this book? My uncle was involved with it in the USAAF. Had some great stories but sadly has passed away.
 
RAP, current plan is for Nick Veronico and I to go through the book from stem to stern some time next month (July) and then send it off to Crecy for publishing. This book has been a tremendous effort, but Nick and I are both stickers for facts and details. You will learn more about the B-32 than in ANY other previous publication. I believe Crecy plans to publish it next year (2026).

I've heard of an American 8-engined (all puller configuration) bomber project from the World War II time period, but don't have info. Is anyone aware of any such developments?

USAAF agreed to pay $83 million to Consolidated-Vultee to compensate for the cancellation of 1,213 B-32 bombers. In 2025 dollars, inflation adjusted, that's about $1.4 billion - a hefty fee.

They had already paid $75 million for the delivery of 114 aircraft.

Inlines were looked at for some of the radial powered bombers but were inlines ever considered for the Martin B-26 and Douglas A-26?
