However, there is a difference between the blueprint of the tu-164 and the real display model of the tu-164, and the difference is that the tu-164 in the blueprint had a set of landing gear pods in each wing, much like the tu-154 and the tu-95 while the display model did not have landing gear pods

There may be number of 164 variants studied... hence the difference. I'll try to look.

As my dear flateric said, it had some different variants,the early one
was from 1967,as a development of Tu-134,powered by two D-30
turbofan engines.

It’s so weird that this blueprint inside the image about this aircraft is weirdly different, especially the cockpit windows, and in the cockpit windows of the model image, it has cockpit windows that looked like the tu-154, while the blueprint has a significantly different layout of cockpit windows.

Are there any more blueprints of this aircraft, since that it has variations, like the model one with the tu-154 cockpit window layout, but in the blueprints? Is this how aircraft design bureaus from the Soviet Union design planes like this?
