The following info on Rémy-Félix Faure, lifted off the February 1904 issue of French monthly L'Aérophile (p. 48), might be of interest.

A thought. Is it possible that the photos show the various stages of the work done by this gentleman?

According to the French magazine La Nature (16 July 1904 - p. 108-9 - http://cnum.cnam.fr/CGI/fpage.cgi?4KY28.63/112/100/536/5/420), all photos do show the various stages of the work done by Faure.

To support @fortrena, all three illustrations are named 'POYET' - there was an engraver Louis Poyet and a photographer Jean Poyet - both French. Thus, all three photos should be associated with Felix Faure.

The titles under picture say:

Flying Apparatus with foot power (page 260)
Flying Apparatus with petrol motor (page 261 top)
Flying Apparatus with electric motor (page 261 down)

the text mention as inventor a Félix Faure and a Godard for those machines
must be Rémy-Félix Faure and Louis Godard

More recently, an article - entitled "Les Autovolants de Félix Faure" by Jean-Christophe Carbonel - appeared in this magazine:
