Glad to hear that the Art Directors Guild gave Syd Mead a big send-off in November. It is always better to tell people that you love/honour/respect them before they die.

Science fiction would not be what it is today without the influence of Syd Mead. Mead, a futurist and industrial designer whose work on films such as Blade Runner, Tron, and Aliens, died early this morning at the age of 86. Curbed confirmed the sad news.

There were exhibition of his works in Berlin FUTURE CITIES, that ends just a few days, after great artists passed away...
