Hi All.
I need a little advise please if anyone can help out?

I've started a profile for the 319 and have just realised I can't tell what kind of exhausts it would have had, bearing in mind the proposed engines would have been RR Griffons.

The basic 3-view I'm using is that of Eric Morgan's from Tony Butler's book British Secret Projects Fighters and Bombers 1935-50 Page 234.
The front view shows four slight bulges to each engine fairing and what appears to be a scoop on the top.

Any ideas please?

Many thanks.
Peter

Hi Flitzer!

I was looking in my copy of Supermarine Aircraft Since 1914, (by C.F. Andrews and E.B. Morgan), and on pg. 349 of Appendix I, Supermarine Type List, it says that this aircraft was to have two (2) Vulture engines.

I hope this is of some help!

Many thanks
I griffed when I should have vulted.

Now it explains the four little bumps on the nacelles.

Again many thanks, I can press on with it now.

Much appreciated.

Hi again...
Apart from the bit in Tony B's book, I can't seem find any other info on the 319.

I'm assuming the construction method was all metal, and wondered if anyone had other thoughts on the matter?

Many thanks
Peter
